Meet Dr. Stefano Retis

A meaningful life is built with intention, not by chance.

At the heart of Dr. Retis’ practice is the belief that every patient deserves thoughtful, evidence based treatment tailored to their unique goals, values, and life circumstances. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he provides personalized care to a diverse patient population. Dr. Retis completed his medical training in Nevada, served as Chief Resident during psychiatry residency, and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

During his training, Dr. Retis developed a strong interest in combining evidence based psychiatry with emerging treatments and lifestyle medicine. His approach recognizes the important connection between mental health, physical health, sleep, nutrition, exercise, and overall well being. A former collegiate football and rugby athlete, he believes lasting improvement often comes from treating the whole person not just the diagnosis.

Today, Dr. Retis continues to practice as an inpatient psychiatrist, caring for some of the most complex psychiatric cases while bringing that depth of clinical experience to his private practice. By intentionally limiting his practice to a small panel of patients, he is able to provide thoughtful, individualized care built on trust, accessibility, and genuine physician patient relationships.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Retis enjoys spending time with his wife, exploring new challenges, and training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and amateur mixed martial arts. His passion for lifelong learning extends beyond psychiatry and reflects the same curiosity and discipline he brings to patient care.

My Approach to Care

My approach combines evidence based medication management with psychotherapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and psychodynamic principles. Together, we'll work to understand the patterns that shape your experiences, develop practical skills for lasting change, and cultivate greater resilience and self-understanding.

Whether you're seeking relief from anxiety, depression, ADHD, or navigating a major life transition, my goal is to help you create meaningful, sustainable change not simply reduce symptoms. Together, we'll build a life that aligns with your values, strengthens your relationships, and helps you thrive both personally and professionally.
